Feature Overview |
| iDo Wedding Couple Edition Home The form above is shown everytime you launch iDo 2005 Wedding Couple Edition. The iDo 2005 Home page provides a quick overview of your wedding plans. Click on any of the links to navigate to that section of iDo 2005. Click your wedding day in the top gray bar to see a countdown to your wedding. |
| Contacts | screenshot Step 1: Gather all of your contact names and addresses. Enter the information manually or let iDo 2005 quickly import contacts from Microsoft Outlook or a Comma Delimited Values (*.csv) file. Highlight all your contacts and send out a mass save the date e-mail. |
| Invitations | screenshot Step 2: Group your contacts together by invitation. A unique RSVP ID will be assigned to each new invitation. This RSVP ID is to be written on the back of your RSVP for identification purposes. Many times your guests will not write their names on the RSVP, this helps that process. When you mail your wedding invitations, mark them as being sent...you are now expecting RSVPs. Also, inner and outer envelope wording is automatically suggested based on accepted wedding etiquette. |
| RSVPs | screenshot Step 3: Record who has responded, both acceptances and regrets. For those who have accepted, enter their meal selections. You will start to see how your wedding is shaping up. Note: On average 20% of your guests will send their regrets. Example: If you invite 200 people expect 160 to say Yes, 40 to send regrets. |
| Attendees | screenshot - Design Table Layout | screenshot Step 4: Review headcount, meals and design your table layout. The table layout feature is powerful and flexible. Specify how many tables you want and how many guests each table seats. Once they are added to the floor layout, drag them to the desired location. Next, drag and drop unseated attendees to the desired table. Seating guests is like a puzzle; because of this we provide the ability to swap guests between two tables, so you can quickly see what different seating scenarios look like. |
| Gifts | screenshot Step 5: After the wedding, keep track of the gifts that you received and stay on top of those Thank You notes. Gifts received for other events like Engagement Party, Bridal Shower, can be saved here as well. Print out the new Avery® 8160 label report to speed up your Thank You note effort. |
| Checklist | screenshot Set your own pace using the wedding checklist. iDo 2005 comes pre-loaded with 100 wedding planning tasks that every bride and groom will need to address. The checklist is customizable so you can add, edit, or delete any tasks you like. All of the wedding tasks are grouped together in suggested time frames. By clicking the 'Current' filter you will see a filtered list showing the tasks that you need to focus on. |
| Budget | screenshot Monitor all your wedding related expenses. When first visiting the budget form you will be prompted to enter in your total wedding budget. This number can be changed at anytime. Make sure to save all your receipts and enter them as soon as you get a free moment. |
| Vendor | screenshot Store all of your wedding vendors here. From the Vendor page you can quickly visit the vendor's web page, send them an e-mail or view a map of the vendor's address using Yahoo! Maps. Vendor information also appears on the Budget form so you can assign expenses to vendors. |
| Events | screenshot Enter your important events and appointments here. From the Event page, like the Vendor page, you can easily visit the event's web site, send the event contact an e-mail or view a Yahoo! Map of the event location. |
| Timelines Set a detailed itinerary for any iDo event. For example you can plan the "who, what, when, where, and how" for your wedding day. This ensures that everyone is on the same page on your special day. Also, helpful for storing honeymoon travel arrangements. |
| Options | screenshot Specify your menu selections, your wedding roles, and your inner envelope invitation etiquette preference. The inner envelope invitation etiquette preference can be set to either 'Personal' or 'Formal'. Examples of each: Personal = "David and Trudy", Formal = "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" |
| Reports | screenshot Every section of iDo described above can be printed out in an instant. There are over 100+ reports that can be generated. There is also an overall wedding statistics report that provides you with every wedding statistic imaginable. All reports are written using RTF and can be read by Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, or any RTF compatible reader. |
| Help | screenshot Included with iDo is a comprehensive help system. Simply press F1 anywhere in the application to receive context-sensitive help.
